BRC-IoP and ISO 9001:2008 quality systems

At the beginning of July Van der Windt once again passed the annual BRC-IoP audit carried out by DNV Nederland (as it has since 2004). The retention of this certificate proves that in the area of food-safe business operations Van der Windt can meet the stringent demands in respect of the packaging it supplies. BRC-IoP stands for the British Retail Consortium-Institute of Packaging. The stipulations in the BRC-IoP standard are specially tailored to the packaging industry.

| In addition to its renewed BRC-IoP certification, at the beginning of September Van der Windt also passed TÜV Nederland's ISO 9001:2008 evaluation. This quality system is aimed at the continuous improvement of the quality of services and products. Van der Windt's objective in being awarded ISO 9001 standard certification is twofold. Firstly it shows that Van der Windt Verpakking BV's organisation can consistently supply products and services that meet the requirements of the customer and the relevant legislation and regulations. Secondly, using an effective system that includes continuous improvement and the continued assurance that the specified standards are being met increases customer satisfaction. An ISO 9001 certificate proves that the organisation has opted to operate in a way that ensures customers' requirements are met and that is constantly striving to do better. | |
