The metamorphose of the vehicle fleet

The 22 delivery trucks of Van der Windt Verpakking in Honselersdijk are undergoing an eye-catching metamorphose. Each of the 22 trucks will become a ‘mobile billboard' showing different photographs. The objective of the operation is to draw more attention to Van der Windt's wide range of products and services. The first eight DAF vehicles have already been given their new look with photographs of products supplied to Van der Windt's four main markets - Horticulture, Agri, Retail & Services and Industry.
Van der Windt strives for more sustainable solutions not only in its products but also in the transportation of its products. Which is why the latest DAF trucks are fitted with EEV engines. These EEV engines score higher for environmental performance than the Euro 5 engines and are quieter having a noise limitation value of 77 dB(A). The fleet is also equipped with a modern communication system: on-board computer, mobile telephone and navigation (using GPS tracking and tracing). This enables the lines between our customers, sales and logistics to be kept as short as possible and we can also offer our customers more information regarding concrete order delivery times. |
