Since mid May it has also been possible to order Windt Verpakking products via the internet. The Company has opened a webshop offering a total range of packaging for the food industry, including crate bags and stretch film. With the introduction of the on-line sales channel Van der Windt wants to focus more on customers who wish to place smaller orders. Orders via the webshop can be per box or per pack.
Until now Van der Windt Verpakking has focused on a professional target group that is prepared to order packaging in larger quantities – the minimum order for a product has been a full pallet.
Mr. Marnix van der Caaij, who as webshop coordinator has been closely involved with the introduction of the site, sees a lot of opportunities coming from broadening the sales options with on-line sales. 'There are many companies in the food industry that use Van der Windt Verpakking products. Now we also offer the option of ordering per box the threshold for being able to order from us is far lower.' By offering attractive conditions – orders worth 200 euro or more are delivered free of charge on the day requested by the customer – and a fully fledged product range, Van der Windt Verpakking wants to reach a new group of potential customers. The range includes several hundred of the most popular products for the food industry including crate bags, stretch film, garbage bags, tape and HACCP disposables. The vanderwindtverpakking.nl. webshop has been set-up by Eleven in Maasdijk. A contract for the fulfilment services has been signed with S&H in Moerdijk.
