The materials used are:
- WENTOFAN SUPER®
A transparent, shiny, cast polypropylene (CPP) film that is crystal clear and has sturdy seal seams. Sleeves made of this film are ideal for high-speed processing. - STX film
The most important characteristics of this special Wentofan® film (CPP) are its robustness, transparency and extremely strong seal seams. This film is ideal for all sizes of pot plant. - WBFX-4 film
A special Wentofan® film (CPP). Sleeves made of WBF-X have ‘indestructible’ side seams and can also withstand the cold. This makes them ideal for heavy pot plants such as chrysanthemum balls. This alternative to LDPE sleeves and/or tubular film means even heavy plants can now be packaged and presented in a far better way. - WENTOLEN®
A Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) film with extremely strong seams. Ideally suited for packaging heavy pot plants and for use in a cold environment. The alternative is the film developed to our own specifications - the WBFX-4 film. - WINDFLOR®
This film is made of double-sided, stretched polypropylene (BOPP). This rigid, highly transparent material ensures the optimum presentation of your product. - WENTEX®
This High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) film has a milky appearance and is characterised by a tendency to 'crackle'. The material has very strong welds and is suitable for packaging heavy pot plants. The film is used primarily for transport sleeves. - Wenterra®
Wenterra sleeves, or 'bio-sleeves', are made of a bio-based biodegradable and compostable material. As these sleeves are made of renewable materials and are 100% GMO-free they are extremely environmentally-friendly. Wenterra® sleeves can be printed on both sides and can be supplied in every desired size. - PLA film - Poly Lactic Acid film
In addition to the film for our Wenterra® sleeves Van der Windt’s range includes a second certificated and compostable film - PLA film. The PLA film has been given Din Certco certification under the registration number 7P0204. This certification proves that the PLA film supplied by Van der Windt complies with the composting standard EN 13432.
This transparent film is made of cornstarch and as far as its characteristics are concerned is comparable to PET (polyethylene terephthalate) for many applications. In the horti segment this film is used to make cut flower sleeves. - Metalised Polypropylene
Van der Windt has developed a high-quality metalised film that is extremely smooth, which makes it ideally suited for packaging Cymbidiums. - Anti-static film
Sleeves made from our CPP and BOPP anti-static films stay clean for longer because they attract hardly any dust particles. This characteristic also comes into its own during misting, for example during the cultivation of Phalaenopsis. It goes without saying that this enhances the presentation of the product throughout the chain. - Recy® sleeves
With the naked eye it is impossible to see the difference between Recy® sleeves, which are made of re-processed CPP, and sleeves made of completely new (‘virgin’) material. The result: a reduction of both raw materials usage and the quantity of waste. The Recy® sleeves are only available in sizes suitable for cut chrysanthemums. - Silk
An opaque, white film with a silky finish.
