Horti

Van der Windt started with packaging for vegetables and fruit, but in the early 1970's they introduced a new conical packaging concept for flowers and plants called 'sleeves'. These sleeves improved the protection and presentation of all ornamental horticultural products.

Today Van der Windt, along with its manufacturing associate companies Wentus Kunststoff and LPFFP, is the global leader in products, concepts and services for the packaging of cut flowers, pot plants and herbs.

In cooperation with growers' and auction organisations Van der Windt continues to develop new packaging concepts for the horti segment.

In 2008 Olsthoorn Verpakkingen, with offices in Maasdijk and Aalsmeer, was added to the Van der Windt Group. Olsthoorn supplies a wide range of packaging and added-value services to the ornamental horticulture segment and in particular flower and plant exporters.

In addition to a wide selection of sleeves Van der Windt and Olsthoorn offer an extensive range of supplementary packaging: from buckets, elastic, cardboard and crates to all kinds of pallet protection packaging. Van der Windt and Olsthoorn have a fitting answer to every packaging question!
