If you need a highly transparent film to package a product polypropylene (PP) film is the right choice. This film can be divided into two main groups: OPP and CPP. The (B)OPP (biaxial oriented polypropylene) film is more transparent than CPP (Cast Polypropylene) film and is not, or hardly, elastic, which means it can be damaged more easily. This is why OPP is used on flowpak and transwrap machines and CPP for packaging in bags. CPP is more elastic and, therefore tougher, the film will not be damaged as easily as OPP by the product or an outside influence. Thanks to all types of additives, including anti-condensation and barrier coatings, and special treatments, PP can be used for a wide variety of products. |
